Sustainability at U Lesa
At U Lesa, nature isn’t just a backdrop – it’s the heart of everything we do. Nestled in the pine forests of Tam Dao, we believe that travel should not only inspire you but also help protect the world we share.
What We’re Doing Now:
- Low-impact design: Our cabins are built to blend into the landscape, not take over it. We use natural materials like wood and stone, and we keep paved areas to a minimum.
- Plastic-free where possible: From glass water bottles to reusable toiletry dispensers, we’ve said goodbye to single-use plastics.
- Waste separation & composting: We sort recyclables and compost organic waste for our garden areas.
- Locally sourced everything: From our breakfast spreads to building supplies, we support local farmers, makers, and communities.
Where We’re Headed:
We know sustainability is a journey, not a checklist. Here’s where we’re hoping to grow:
- On-site permaculture garden to supply fresh herbs and veggies to our kitchen.
- Solar energy systems to power parts of the retreat and reduce our footprint.
- Zero-waste events – think eco-friendly stay and retreats without the guilt.
- Eco-workshops and retreats to help guests reconnect with nature and take green practices home.
- We’re far from perfect but every day, we’re learning, improving, and doing our best to leave the forest better than we found it.
Thanks for supporting sustainable travel. When you stay at U Lesa, you’re not just escaping to the woods you’re protecting them with us.
